At Holla Holler Farm, vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers are grown using methods that foster soil's fertility rather than deplete. Lindy Abrams represents the third generation of the Hodge bloodline to farm this bottom land. The farm lies a mile off of the road, so all you hear are birds, insects, and water.

Lindy first got into gardening as a pastime after college. Since she liked it more than she liked her job, she quit her job and apprenticed on a farm in Kentucky.

NO chemical or synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides are used in production. Instead, Lindy uses companion planting and biological controls to deter pests. She grows a wide variety of crops in small quantities. Because of her success with sustainable practices, she is able to cultivate crops that her great uncle and grandfather said wouldn’t grow on their land.
