Dulos Farm - DULF

Dulos Farms is operated by Chris and Glenda Bucy in the Cliffside area of Rutherford County. They currently raise meat rabbits. In the future, they plan to grow a wide variety of produce, berries and apples using organic methods (no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers). Their long term goal is to be as sustainable as possible, therefore minimizing their negative imprint on their environment. This fall, they will begin raising pastured pork. In the future, they will also raise bees, chickens, and beef all using natural methods. After serving more than 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, Chris and his family decided to settle in Rutherford County. They have been living here for more than 10 years. Chris’s grandfather had a prize garden throughout most his growing up years and Glenda’s grandparents owned a farm where they raised most of their own food. Due to some life choices, Chris and Glenda desire to become debt free and self-sufficient. For this reason, they have begun the journey to doing both. They began raising meat rabbits more than two years ago and have recently purchased a home and land in the Green Hill area of Rutherford County to expand their capabilities. They believe in proper stewardship of the land they have been blessed with and hope to share any gained knowledge with future generations.
